I find this work genuinely fascinating. What Bwana John Njoga Warria and Bwana Teddy Warria are attempting to do through Bricks to Books: Local Economy in Siany is worth paying attention to. Kudos!! Jambo la jawabu sana. What I particularly appreciate is the idea of documenting how a community evolves economically, from brick-making, which sustained families and educated children for generations, to changing patterns of settlement, agriculture, publishing and new possibilities for local investment. There is something powerful about documenting these transitions while they are happening. Our communities have histories, knowledge, and economic experiences that are rarely documented in ways that future generations can learn from. This work creates an opportunity to preserve that memory while asking an equally important question: what comes next for Siany? I believe this project has the potential to grow into something much bigger, particularly if it brings together local history, community voices, environmental conservation, research and practical economic development. The next step is to build on this foundation with deeper documentation, community participation and clear pathways for turning some of these ideas into tangible opportunities. I would love to see this grow beyond a publication into a living resource for the community and a model for documenting and reimagining local economies across Kenya and beyond. There is a story here worth preserving, developing and sharing. And I believe we should grow it greatly. Kudos sana
